A message from the campus:


Admission decisions are typically rendered within 10-12 business days once all required documents have been received. Applicants must request that official transcripts and exam scores be sent directly to Lock Haven University at the address below. Please note that many high schools and colleges require applicants to complete a release form before academic records will be sent.

Before beginning the application, applicants must read the detailed instructions provided via the links below that best pertains to their situation.

All new incoming students attending the main campus are required to live on campus for two years, unless they qualify for an exemption.  Learn more.

The Lock Haven University's Annual Security Report and Fire Safety Report are now available online or in paper form by request. Federal law requires these reports to contain policy statements, crime and fire safety statistics for the university. The policy statements address the university's policies, procedures, and programs concerning safety and security, i.e. policies for responding to emergency situations, fire safety procedures and statistics, and sexual offenses, etc. Three years' worth of statistics is included for certain types of crimes that were reported to have occurred on campus, in on-campus buildings, or off-campus sites property owned or controlled by the university and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to the campus. The Annual Security & Fire Safety Report is available online. You may also request a paper copy from the Public Safety Office located in the Glennon Infirmary building or by calling 570-484-2278.

After you complete a screen, click the NEXT button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be reentered prior to submittal.
